Thanks for visiting my blog! I love to cook and am an incurable collector of kitchen gadgets – especially the antique kind, but I use what I collect…it doesn’t just clutter up my drawers. Ha! I also am one of the moderators on the Cooking (dot) com website where I’ve posted a LOT of my favorite recipes (sometimes with pictures!).
My husband and I have an empty nest, so we like to go on trips with our friends. One thing that Harley owners know how to do well is to sniff out good restaurants!
I hope that you find some interesting recipes and information on cookware, gadgets and appliances that I’ve discovered. I have loved everything about cooking since I first began as a novice to the kitchen and a new bride back in 1979. I only had a Betty Crocker cookbook to rely on to teach me all the intricacies of preparing a great meal because I lived 1400 miles away from my home and my mother and my beloved “Nana”. I would have to just figure it out and figure it out I did! It didn’t hurt that I was surrounded by the great Southern cooks that really know how to put a hearty meal on the table. May, Floss, Roberta and Peggi (and all you other Kentucky women!) - I will always be indebted to you for your patience and guidance as you taught me how to make breads, soups and desserts that are still on my most requested lists! If I had a dollar for every time people said “You should open a restaurant!”…
Here are my little food reviewers…not that there is anything that they don’t like…LOL!
And here is my huz (as Kellypea likes to call hers) who has liked everything I’ve ever cooked except for the time I made what he likes to call “Beef GAG-a-nov” (beef stroganoff). Such a doll!

Such a pretty lady, handsome hubby, and adorable doggies. It’s like an ad for love and happiness out of a magazine
